2017 Season

Robot Name: Vantage

Another record-breaking season for Team Appreciate! Even before the release of FIRST STEAMWORKS, we began training more students than ever before in our brand-new shop/classroom facility. After a frantic six weeks of build season, we attended three regionals and FIRST Championships – Houston. We fought hard in the pit, on the field, and in the Chairman’s presentation room, helping us win two blue banners (Regional Finalist and Regional Chairman’s Award) as well as three new awards we’ve never won before: Gracious Professionalism Award, Imagery Award, and Championship Subdivision Finalist! In addition, we partnered with multiple new local companies and expanded our STEMConnect, SACOT, and FIRST Signing Day programs (see Outreach tab). Overall, it’s been an exciting and rewarding season, and we’re already looking forward to next year!
