Bell Advanced Vertical Robotics
The 2468 AVR team was created when our robotics program was approached by Bell Helicopter, an aerospace company, to form a team that would compete in their newly developed drone engineering challenge. In addition to starting a team, we were given a grant by the REC Foundation to host an AVR tournament in our state.
Team Appreciate AVR 2023 Season
The Bell County Fire Department is ready to send their fearless AVR teams back into the fray to compete in the 2023 AVR Competition: Recon, Rescue, and Firefighting Challenge! The game field will include some firefighting similarities to last season, but also some new and exciting recon and rescue challenges that are sure to test even the most seasoned drone and ground-based robotic pilots.

Team Appreciate AVR 2022 Season
Participants of the 2022 BELL Advanced Vertical Robotics (BELL AVR) develop and implement various prototypes to address natural disaster relief issues surrounding fire safety and methods of clearing forest fires. Students design, build, and test their solutions during the 2022 Emergency Fire-Fighting Challenge.
