Team Appreciate launched a speaker series, FIRST in Focus, to further engage the FIRST community. 2468 hosts a new speaker on Zoom Webinar and alternates between technical and outreach topics. On Sep 14th, FIRST in Focus started again and MarkForged presented on types of 3D printers and the application of 3D printing.
On May 20th, The Thrifty Bot presented their Thrifty Swerve line of products along with the design and development process behind their affordable swerve drive products.
On November 19th, Citrus Circuits presented alongside Team Appreciate on FIRST in Focus and shared their virtual fundraising and summer camp models.
On October 22nd, FIRST in Focus started up for the fall, welcoming FRC 6377 HowdyBots to share about their virtual fundraising methods.
On June 11th, FRC 2468 welcomed Hall of Fame Team 987 the High Rollers on to the series to talk about outreach and robot history.
On June 4, 2020, Team Appreciate welcomed Yoji Shimizu and FRC 1816 Green Machine to present their Hows & Whys of FIRST/STEM Outreach.
On May 21, 2020, Team Appreciate welcomed Marshall Massengill and FRC 900 Zebracorns to present on software development practices and emerging technologies.
On February 10, 2022, Team Appreciate welcomed Bahram Banisadr to present their experiences in the STEM field as a product manager from Amazon Robotics.
On May 14, 2020, Team Appreciate welcomed Allen Gregory and FRC 3847 Spectrum to present on Do’s and Don’t, Tidbits From Our Success.
On May 7, 2020, Team Appreciate hosted Libby Kamen and the MidKnight Inventors to talk about structuring for growth and the team’s design process.
On April 23, 2020, Team Appreciate welcomed Michael Corsetto and students from Citrus Circuits to share about their design process and techniques.
On April 16, 2020, Team Appreciate spoke alongside Girls of Steel, Pearadox and FIRST Tech Cookies about recruiting, developing, progressing and promoting girls in STEM.
On April 9, 2020, Team Appreciate welcomed Andy Baker to the series to talk about the history of FRC games. He also shared interesting robot designs throughout the show.
