“WESTA and 2468 (Team Appreciate) have been invaluable for our FLL rookie 5th grade team 47435, Engineering MAJAAKK. It all started at a FLL summer camp in Jul ‘19 run by 2468. The FLL and FLL Jr. kickoff event in Sep ‘19 further introduced us to what FLL was all about. It allowed us to meet interested students and parents and form our team. The information and resource pointers were awesome. 2468 provided us with an EV3 kit to bootstrap our team. Coaches Emily and Greg were always open to answering questions and providing advice and suggestions to improve. The Eanes FLL scrimmage in Nov ‘19 and the presence of 2468 at BPE’s STEAM day in Jan ‘20 were great experiences for the team’s member(s). The team was also provided access to parts and supplies as we needed to complete and enhance our robots. Coaches Emily and Greg and their amazing family (including FLL and FRC team members) stopped by before our LJHS Qualifier to provide constructive feedback that proved extremely valuable and contributed significantly to the team garnering Champions Award 2nd place.
