Origins

Due to the growing interest in robotics at Westlake Highschool, Team Apprentice was created in 2019, allowing more students the opportunity to be involved in FRC and FIRST. The new team was composed of 29 Freshman and Sophomore students entirely new to FRC its rookie year. Through our team’s fundraising, we were able to fund a $100k endowment for a new teacher, Coach Spodick, to lead 2678. Under their new coach’s leadership, Team Apprentice has seen great success in their rookie years and has brought in a plethora of new students and accomplishments into our program.
