SACOT On The Hill

Team Appreciate is proud to present SACOT on the Hill! This is a conference that was held by SACOT on February 18th at the Texas Capitol. Students had the opportunity to use advocacy techniques they learned from SACOT’s First Virtual Conference and spoke with Texas legislators on STEM education and STEM related bills.

HB 341

HB 341 is a Texas House bill sponsored by representative Philip Cortez. This bill gives districts weighted funding for 8th graders enrolled in CTE courses, promoting STEM engagement to young students, crucial to the continuation of tech-ed development.

Increase TIMA

By increasing the Technology and Instructional Materials Allotment, schools will be more able to educate their students with innovative methods and purposeful resources.
